Aiye Le ooo

Talented Yoruba actress Mo Bimpe (real name Adebimpe Oyebade) recently caused a stir online when she couldn’t hold back her tears during a livestream video.

The reason? A group of fans (or maybe anti-fans) spread rumors that she used “Ile Omo” (roughly translated:

the house where children are born) – a sacred symbol in Yoruba culture – to “help her husband Lateef Adedimeji become rich”.

“Aiye Le ooo” – An exclamation that speaks of pain
At the beginning of the video, Mo Bimpe choked up and said: “Aiye le ooo, people are wicked…” – “Life is so unpredictable, people are so cruel”. The quote quickly became a trend on social media, not only because of its drama, but also because it reflected a woman’s deep hurt in the face of baseless slander.
